Whats This Function On Revo Winch?

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a revo 50 winch for throwing large swimbaits and this particular model has a line clicker?  How and why is this function used?  Thanks, Lee

I believe it's used for bait fishing.  If you set your rod out and leave it, you can hear when a fish is taking off with your bait.  Not very useful for bass fishing with artificial baits.

Thanks man, was kind of figuring that for live bait situations maybe. Dont think ill be using that feature.  Thanks for the reply

Yup, I sometimes catfish with friends and, while my reels handle 'em just fine, I sometimes wish for a clicker -- but never remember when I get home!

I can see it having an application in bass fishing: deadsticking.

They are also fun when trolling.  The fish hits and you hear that wonderful sound of a fish taking line.

Yaknow, I kind of miss that sound from my spinning reels from back in the day when there drag systems were louder. A good sound it is.

Not just live bait, cut bait as well. Its really more or less for soaking any type of bait as well as trolling and dead sticking like others said.
