So I've had my fair share of rods and only being 17 I'm limited on money I was wondering if someone can give me some good rods that were cheap.. Spinning and baitcasting I have one baitcaster but I need to get some for

Jigs,cranks, and spinner baits

Also some rods that are good for shakey heads and Texas rigs and drop shots

What's cheap?  I try to stay around $100 for rods.  Berkley Emotion, ***, Halo rods..

Less money:  Berkley Lightning (Josh likes his Cherrywoods for even less), H2O on sale.

Bass Pro Tourney Special Combo in 7 ft. Med. Heavy. All around good rod. However, if you want to do some serious cranking, youre gonna need a Med. Ive lost fish on a Med Heavy using a crankbait when I probably would have gotten a better hookset by using a Med.

Great spinning reel for the money Pflueger President.  I've had mine, although now the wife's, for 2 years no maintenance still smooth as ever.

Bass Pro always has baitcaster combos on sale.They have a good sale Black Friday.Mega cast combo 49 bucks.

A good cheap rod that I like and would recommend is a good ol' Ugly Stick. As well, you can combo it with a Shimano Sedona. 

I really like my Powell Diesel rods with a BPS Pro Qualifier as a reel.  You can get this setup for around 150 and sometimes cheaper than that. 

berkley lightning shock rods are cheap and hard to beat.  i have 2 of their spinning rods and they're a great buy for the money.

all good choices mentioned for cheap rods.  here's some more.  ABU Garcia Villains on sale for half off at gander mtn.  hard to   beat a 180 dollar rod on sale for 90.  gander mtn tournament le rods are pretty good sticks too.  reg. 100 bucks on sale for 50.

Get a Pflueger President and either a Berkley Lighting Rod Shock or a Fenwick Eagle and you're set.

great buy on the villain, if they had the spinning models at that price, i'd have already bought one....

CALL St Croix and get some of the Rage rods on clearance right now.  People have posted if you buy at least 2 rods you can get them for $50 each.  I don't think you'll find a better deal than that anywhere, but, again you have to call the factory to get that pricing.

Should have done more research on bait casting combos before my purchase. Being new i depended on Bass Pro for help and they set me up with one of their brands. 6.6.1 real and 7ft med action. $69 plus tax. They put on a 20 lb mono on for free. Hope it works out. Never did baitcasting before should be a blast little lone catch a fish.
