  1. Anyone ever fish Province Lake on the Maine border? I am going up this weekend to visit family friends and I will be doing some fishing.
  2. I agree 100%. I am a little disappointed with the tournaments this year. I have done draw tournaments in the past but it seems like those are disappearing and it is more of a set team for multiple tournaments. I am going to contact some of the clubs to hopefully find a boater who is in search of a partner.
  3. I really like my Powell Diesel rods with a BPS Pro Qualifier as a reel. You can get this setup for around 150 and sometimes cheaper than that.
  4. One more thing on jerkbaits at this time of the year, I prefer a slow drag instead a jerk of the rod tip. It is a more subtle presentation and the bait has a tighter action. It allows the bait to sit still and slowly twitch to the side. This has been most productive for me at this time of year.
  5. Thanks Ill check them out. Definitely want to support a local business over big brands.
  6. That is the one downside that I found with the jigs. Im going to do more research on some other brands and see what I come up with. And thanks for the info on the chatter baits. Thats the news I needed to here.
  7. I'm thinking about the Keitech tungsten casting jigs. They have them on tackle warehouse. They look fairly decent. The head design looks like they will skip fairly easily.
  8. Ive found some jigs that I may be getting, but does anyone know about chatter baits? I cannot find any that are lead free. I'm also looking for weighted swimbait and tube hooks. This law is really driving me crazy.
  9. I have a tournament on Massebesic tomorrow. Im glad the weather is going to be nice, hopefully it'll warm up just enough for the fish to have an appetite.
  10. I have a gerber prodigy. great knife for around 35 dollars. it is sharp right out of the package. the sheath is great and has many different ways of rigging it.
  11. Winnipesaukee is always a great place. Lots of fish and big ones too. And the scenery is really nice.
  12. Went to Naticook for a few hours this morning. Caught seven small largemouth, biggest being 13 inches. All were caught on a red lipless crank bait. As I was packing up, I ended up meeting a fellow BR member, Mebisho.
  13. Im hoping so. Naticook is always a fun lake to fish, and bigger fish will only make it better.
  14. Im hitting up Naticook tomorrow for a few hours. A friend of mine went there the other day and caught 25 bass in about two hours. Im hoping I'll have his kinda day.
  15. Hey guys, I am thinking about fishing a tournament on May 2nd on Massabesic. I have always heard that the fishing on this lake is pretty tough, but any of you guys have good luck on it? I won't have time to pre fish it because I am in school until the first of may. I would assume the fish would start to move up, but with the weather we are having the fishing could be unpredictable. Do you have any advice on the lake or what you would be throwing? I will be fishing as a co angler so my options are somewhat limited. Thanks
