Is My Rod Ok For Texas Rigs And Casting Jigs?

Featured Replies

I ordered a 7'3" HF Dobyns savvy micro guide casting rod for fishing Texas rigs and jigs and in worried I got too stiff of a rod. A lot of people prefer a MHF rod for this technique I'm worried I will loose sensitivity with a H rod any suggestions?

I have not noticed having less sensitivity with a heavy action rod. I have a Mag Heavy 705c and I guarantee it's more sensitive than my MH ugly stik. Also, I don't have much experience with Dobyns rods since I only have 1, but I've heard they are a little bit on the lighter side as far as power goes.
