Does anyone know what kind of wire I can used to custom make weedguards on 3/0 hooks?  Thanks.

I know when I order wire guard jigs, they come with 3 stranded wire thats soldered on the ends after its cut. Its the stuff the use for saltwater wire leader material. I think Stamina has it in their catalog. It comes in a coil and different diameters.

Does the surflon keep its shape to suit my needs?

I've used piano wire before. Just put a little hook on the end and loop it over the hook and pour. won't come out that way.

No, I though you wanted to put them in jigs as wire guards.

Sorry. Piano wire might be better, like skeeterman said. Its stiffer and not as thick.

Sorry, I too misunderstood your post.  I have some Single Strand stainless seel wire by Mason #11 .026 diameter that would be just the ticket.  I use it to make hook keepers and screw locks.
