Avid 7' M/M vs Premier 7' M/M cranking models

Featured Replies

Anyone that has used/handled both of these cranking models and can tell me if the actions are the same? I have only been able to handle the premier in my area and really like the action of the rod for shallow cranks and was wondering does the avid model feel the same?  The specs online are identical With both being medium moderate graphite with lure ranges of 1/8 to 5/8.  So does the avid have the same moderate action with lots of bend down the blank?

Yes they feel the same, the only real difference is sensitivity and we'll worth it for the avid, also have the better warranty to boot

Another one to consider is the MOJO bass crankbait rod, they have upgraded to SCIII graphite now and still a low price

I have one of the older Mojo cranking rods and like it very well, one of the best cranking rods I've owned.

I have a 7mm avid I use for up to 10ft. I adont have a premier 7mm but have a MF. The avid it self is much lighter. And has better cork.  Avid mm seems more like a ml to me but works great .  I did hold a premier mm at bass pro a couple days ago.  Like the avid better
