Finally start a new job tomorrow

Recommended Posts

Going back to framing.

Just before Christmas I was working for a stucco company and only working with boss. Well he kept working me and they didn't pay and hid from contact. So ripped me off big time right before Christmas.  It was very frustrating being told you have to work for it and then when you do it's still doesn't pay lol. Same time last week I caught on fire with my cat. Caught some bad burns saved cat from serious injury. It  Was scary I thought I killed my cat on accident. Still recovering from burns. Got burned twice in one week.

To think last year I was in a studio in monterey CA next to pebble beach and carmel valley and was bartending.

I'm so excited because not only do necessities get meant but you get to have some entertainment and do the things that make you joyful.

For me it's videos games first playing and collecting, going to the flea markets early morning on days off before heading out to the water, being able to afford the expense to fish etc. Few dollars for some live bait.

Cross fingers it works out. Then I can go fishing.

Congrats and good luck.

And just want are you doing now in Florida?

How about introducing yourself in the Introduction section?

Glad you and your cat or OK.

Now, tell us how you caught yourself on fire in the first place?

As for the stucco company, there are strong laws in each state mandating that employers pay their employees or face fines and jail time. May I suggest you inquire about the back pay and send a letter to the state's Attorneys General office explaining your position and asking for assistance. You may have to retain a law student from a local law school (the do pro bono work) for assistance.

And on a personal note, not getting paid is not a "LOL moment."

Congrats on the new gig. I'm starting a new job today too! I've only worked 2 out of the last 7 weeks.

A man who sets out to work a kid and then stiff him on payday needs his teeth kicked in.

My cat is ok. Only her hair and whiskers burned none of her skin. My burns are almost healed.

All I will say is be careful lightning stuff near flammable things. It can cross your mind easily.

Some would say I'm stupid. I say it can happen to anyone.

I'm on my 3rd day of my new job in the morning.

The job that ripped me off never added me to the books. So I don't know what to do. A homeowner who contracted him saw me working there a few weeks. And when a new guy started he worked one day then boss took off and never paid him either. I made legal threats to my boss and no response. I could probably find him and kick his butt. ( I could) but that is just some instant gratification and I know won't do any good. If I can't do anything legally then it's a loss.

I hope I'm more successful then that guy. That's my win.

Forget the guy that stiffed you..life lesson learned. Focus on your new job and keeping your cat from incinerating.
