Hi, I recently purchased a shimano Cardiff 300a and am having issues with it. When I press the thumb bar to engage freespool, the spool won't spin and when you try to spin it, it just goes out of freespool. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Undo the three screws and take the sideplate off.

    Now hold the thumb bar UP, and then put the sideplate back on and tighten the screws with the thumb bar in the up position.

    Report if it's any different.
