Yep a small swimbait is the recommended trailer for suspended bass. Paddle tail for slower presentation.

Saw it demonstrated in the Hawg Trough yesterday at the show Bobby Uhrig is at.

Did you see Bobby? I walked around two times and could not find his booth.

I had problems with the underspin blade fouling in the skirt with a similar lure i threw together. It was fixed by triming the skirt which left it short for my liking. Good luck with yours, looks good.

I have 4 of that style made by Road Runner (Rockin runner).  They work pretty well, but their head design is a bit different then that one.  Been using them for last 3 years and looks different then anything anyone else around here throws when it comes to chatterbait style jigs.

That makes me wonder just what all you could put on that blade.  A minnow stick bait, in-line spinner, I think I'm going to try some things that more than likely won't catch fish.

Its a bit off topic but on that thinking try taking the back hook off your favorite popper and tie 12 to 18" of FC to a bluegill color clouser fly. Its normally a salt water thing but when bass see that following the top water disturbance it puts em on automatic eat. Especially when they will boil on the popper but will not take it.
