Trigger Happy Comfort Grips?

Featured Replies

Anyone ever tried these - especially on spinning reels?  With the reel stem between my fingers and a long day of fishing, I do crunch my fingers and knuckles a fair amount when I set the hook or get a snag.  Or any other products out there like this to compare?

I have not used this product nor do I know of anything else out there like it.

TT did a nice review of both the casting & spinning versions.

Personally, I've never felt this was a much of a concern on either rig.

Probably won't be using this one.

Maybe its because I fish river current a fair amount, or that smallmouth don't give up (or maybe I get snagged a lot) but I noticed this past year the crunch between my fingers seemed worse.  I'm also recovering from wrist surgery (My 4th operation between my 2 wrists) and maybe I'm just more prone to discomfort now.  Want to figure something out so I can keep fishing pain free.  Maybe I'll try them out and give a BR review.  But if anyone knows of any other similar products I can compare against that would be good too ~

Hope I didn't ruin anyone's breakfast with the photo ...

Ouch! That looks really painful.

Try using some golf tape around that part.  It's easier to put on than that thing.

I picked up the spinning reel versions late last season. So far they are worth the money after having hand and wrist issues. They come two in a pack so the cost isn't to bad overall.

Thanks, that's the endorsement I was looking for.  -Fry

If you decide to try them out ill give you a piece of advice. Before installing them read the directions and wet the reel with water to help the grip slide easier. I was able to get all four of my grips installed in under a few min without any issues. From what I have heard if you have any issues and destroy one attempting to install it the company is normally willing to replace them.

Nope, made me hungry for bacon though.
