I'm planning a trip to Florida in February (17-23) and would like to get in some much needed bass fishing. Will be staying near Sebastian Inlet for a few days, so maybe Stick Marsh/Farm 13 area and then in Cocoa for a few days, so I was thinking lake Poinsett.  Does anyone know of boat rental on Poinsett maybe a pontoon (my wife would enjoy a pontoon trip on Poinsett or on the St. John's river). I would like to get out on Stick Marsh. Maybe a reasonable guide or someone who knows the water.  Help a fella out, I need a break from the winter.

Hey Cross, please go to the Introduction section and introduce yourself so we can know you better.

And sorry, I don't fish Florida and have no information to help you.

Have a great time in the Sunshine State.

Lots of Marsh guides on line.  Call around, I'm sure they are all about the same.  George Welcome was very popular, but I believe he has had some health issues.

I'm going out on Stick Marsh on the 20th. I would still like to find a pontoon to rent for a couple hours on the 22nd.  Thank fot the info.

The Marsh is very dangerous for novices that don't know where they are going.  Rental boats would take a serious beating in that place.  Thousands of stumps just under the surface.  There is no one renting out there, that I know of.  Best bet is, get a guide!

If you want to fish Stickmarsh/farm 13 call Hugh Crumpler. He is the best guide for that area. No rentals available like George G  said.

Yep I heard that the marsh is tricky so I hired a guide for Stick Marsh.  I'm hoping to find a pontoon to rent on Poinsett to take my wife sight seeing for a couple hours.
