Tatula Glass

Featured Replies

Just ordered a 7'2" mh Tatula glass rod for traps and chatterbaits. I have been fishing both baits on cheap Rick Clunn rod and love the glass.

This is the most expensive rod I have purchased. I hope it works well for what I plan on doing with it.

I will post reviews after tournament Saturday.

I switched to the Rick Clunn glass rods after hearing Brett Hite recommends glass for chatterbaits. I do realize the rod he uses is well over most normal people's budget. I really like how the glass handles the chatterbait.

Fished the Tatula glass rod quite a bit Saturday. Rod feels great and cast great. It fells more heavy duty than the Rick Clunn glass rods.

I didn't catch any fish with it so I can't really comment yet on how it handles the bass.

I could really feel the thump of the chatterbait blades no matter what speed I chose to reel.

Hopefully, this upcoming weekend I can catch a couple of toads on the rod.

I've been using a Powell glass rod for bladed jigs for the last few years.  I wouldn't anything else for this technique.  You made the right choice with the Tatula.  I've heard great things about that model.

Tough day of fishing. Highs in the mid 30's with a north wind of 10-15.

However, I did end up catching 2 bass on this rod with a chatterbait. One 2lb and one was 4 lbs.

The rod handles really well. Both fish were hooked in the top of the mouth through the hard part of the fish. The tatula has a little more backbone the the Rick Clunn rods.

The 4 lb fish dove right at the boat and the rod did what is was designed to do. I didn't lose either fish.

I am really satisfied with the rod so far.
