  1. The Berkley dark sleeper knock offs are probably worth a buck, same with the Owner mag shakey heads (if I ever decide to throw a 10 in worm again). Wouldn’t mind trying the Geecrack bellows vibes for $5. Booyah flash points are $5. I have one from last yr but haven’t thrown it so I have no idea if it’s any good. Could easily make a $50 order for free shipping haha.
  2. It’s not as good as last time haha. I’m pretty safe.
  3. If you like 13 Fishing stuff.. https://www.sportsmans.com/fishing-gear-supplies/casting-reels/13-fishing-inception-sld2-low-profile-bait-casting-reel-size-2-right-retrieve/p/1948422
  4. Last day for St. Croix customer appreciation day deals. Came close to a legend extreme for 50% off but settled for a Physyx for $200.

Good to hear some real experience. I read some reviews that were all over the place. Glad I grabbed a few to try.
  6. The Amazon Haul stuff is random and never lasts more than a day. I don’t know of any advertisements for Haul sales, sometimes you just go and score.
  7. Anyone use one yet? Thoughts?
  8. A hollow body frog is in my top 3 favorite/most productive techniques. It’s more versatile than most think. I use them in just about every shallow water situation from slop, to pads, to docks, and overhanging trees. The number one key about them is that you can keep it in the strike zone for a long time, which can be hard in super shallow water. You can walk a frog without moving it forward hardly at all. I fish mostly up north where there are a ton of pike and pickerel. If I’m missing fish on a frog 99 times out of 100, it’s a gator face. The bass rarely miss unless it’s in super thick stuff (which you can usually go back over the blow hole and get bit again). It’s a big fish bait and I rarely downsize. Spro 65 is my fav but there are a lot of good ones out there. Toad Thumpers are nice, swamp lords are ok but tend to roll a little, agree the Kaera is good for a smaller profile, and booyahs are decent.
  9. This still hurts, even though I’ve replaced everything…lost my entire Bass Pro backpack (the nice $125 one) last summer fishing as a co angler with a buddy. Had it between us and it blew outta his skeeter. It was super windy and crappy out, I didn’t even realize until I needed another soft plastic about 30 mins later. Plano edge terminal 3600 chock full, jigs, frogs, blades jigs, bunch of baits still on the package, aluminum pliers, Rapala tournaments scale, soft plastics, and more. I’m estimating $600-800 lost. I’m weeping as I type this
  10. I might be ordering my first Edge rod…thanks for the insight!
  11. If anyone is lucky enough to have an Academy close by, extra 70% off clearance. I’m sure there’s still some good stuff to be found!
  12. This reminds me…I have to check my cc statement to see if they charged me again for the membership. I kept it last year but never used it bc nothing was ever in stock…
  13. Kistler is doing bogo on rods. Code is RODBOGO26
  14. I have the 7’2 mm, 7’2 h, and 7’4 mh. They’re all incredible. I use the mm for small cranks, mh for mid to deep cranks (dt10s - 6xds), and the h for bladed jigs. Beautiful rods, great craftsmanship, perfect actions, and awesome warranty. I only have one complaint and it’s the reel seat. It’s beefy and I have small hands so I’ve struggled to find reels that make it super comfortable. My Metanium feels great on the mm. I’ve had Curado Ks on the other two which are a bit bulky for me but not bad. I got a new Tatula 100 last yr that feels better.
  15. I just saw this too. Hopefully my membership doesn’t auto renew. I put a note in my calendar to cancel but found out they shut down. I’ve gotten some good deals there in the past so I hope they get up and running well again….still seeing a ton of “out of stock” stuff though.
  16. Thanks for dropping the DSG sale! I was waiting for this to come back on the chatterbaits. Just got a dozen evos…..will probably get more
  17. I posted this awhile back when it was on sale but Under Armours fishing bibs are and extra 50% off on the UA website. All their outlet stuff is. Not much outdoors specific stuff but their rubber deck boots are around $50-60 which is decent.
  18. Tough question. If I only intended on using it for spring/fall fishing, probably. I wouldn’t need as many layers so sizing down would be fine. Since I’ll be using this for snowy activities too, the extra room in the large will be good.
  19. My bad, guys. I got a Large.
  20. Sorry for doing this here but since folks were asking… I received that Simms Challenger insulated jacket from Midway. It definitely fits pretty large. I’m 5’9 195 and I’m kinda swimming in it. It’s pretty dang long too. Covers well past my can. The sleeves are a surprisingly great fitting though. Not super long or wide. Fabric and construction are excellent and it’s not too heavy. Definitely keeping it as I could put several layers under for sub zero cold.
  21. Mine shipped today. Happy to share my thoughts when I receive it!
  22. Just make sure you don’t try and cut 17lb fluoro with them! My first pair broke attempting that.
  23. Simms Challenger Insulated Jacket for $117.99! Insane price for a very popular coat. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1029286379?pid=499890
  24. Must’ve been a small window - I don’t see it either. Probably for the best
  25. FFS gimmick lures in my opinion hahaha! I think they hit the clearance bin early for a reason…
