My favorite frogs. I'm just curious; do you modify the hooks or leave them as is?

Also, I noticed the hook points on the popping frogs are shorter than on the regular frogs. Any concern with that?

I don't do anything with them except for trimming the legs.

I get better hookups with this frog out of the box than  any others I've tried yet. Notice there's a slight gap between the hooks and body.

Nothing but good things to say about a Pad Crasher from me.

I don't modify the hooks at all and have never had a problem with them. The only modification I've done is to slightly trim the legs just a bit because they're pretty long as is.

I lied................for fishing them over heavy mats, I add a rattle and stuff some used yum dingers in the body. It helps the frog "push down" into the mat better, making it easier for the bass to hone in on, and before I started doing this once in awhile on a cast that I whipped out over the mat with vigor, the frog would land upside down and the tiny little bit of gap between the hooks and the body would snag cheese on the top of the mat. I used to carry a 2nd frog, the SK sexy frog, just for fishing mats, because it didn't do this. But the Booyah is cheaper, the better frog in anything but the thickest cover, and since I have rattles and plenty of used yum dingers..............bye bye SK frog, the extra space in the boat for booze and cigarettes was needed.

Thank you guys. Last year I've made the mistake of bending the hooks out too much. That made them very hard to fish over mats as they would snag all the time.

Farmer, how do you stuff dingers in them, cut a slot on the top?

Through the hole on the bottom where the hook is.
