Bps rod/reel trade in deal

Featured Replies

Can anyone fully explain the bps rod and reel trade in deal.  It says up to 2-3 hundred dollars trade in.  I'm unfamiliar with it and wanna take advantage of it depending on what I can find out how it works.

The more you spend on a rod the more you save. I don't have the information right in front of me but I think if you spend $200 for a rod you save $40. You spend $100 you save $20. Just a guess off the top of my head. That's how it works.

It's a discount based on rod/reel MSRP.  Discount hovers around 20% give or take a few bucks depending on how close you get to the cutoff points.  Not much more of a discount than online sites that go 15-20% off everything.  Here's the BPS trade in chart that should be standard nationwide -

I tried to go trade in for one of their new Titanium 8 reels in the 8.1 ratio, of course they didn't have any. :censored: One of the main reels they advertised, a house brand reel, and they don't have any in stock for their biggest fishing sale of the year. I was, and still am, a little bit upset about it. Hopefully they get them in before the end of the sale because of course they don't take rainchecks. :stupid::stupid:

I hate that.  Went to get some 832 and look at the mojo rods and the titanium 8.  Had like 2 rods, no 832.  I looked at the reel but it seemed rather big

Amazon has better deals and you can still keep your old combo, I gave mine to my nephews.   Only worth it if your buying a high end reel/rod

I was going to trade in a rod for an Avid X. Called first and found out they have one left with none coming in soon. And it was a 7'med mod which does me no good. They had 2 Mojos. This is the worst sale they have had since there is no inventory. I think they want to get you in to buy some overpriced shirts and hunting boots.

I think what they really want is for people to go in and trade in for their in-house brand rods/reels.
