Need to pair up a rod with Abu REVO SX

Featured Replies

So I recently purchased a new Abu Garcia Revo SX and need to decide which rod to get for it ($100-$200 price range). Looking to get something 6'6", solid rod,(leave my rigs locked inside my truck so I can hit the water whenever), with medium action.

Any suggestions?

I know it's a bit less than you want to spend, but I've been really happy with my daiwa Aird 7' casting rod. They are around 55$. They make a 6'6" rod too. Google the rod and check out reviews, I found a lot of positive feedback and agree with most of it. Good luck.

I have 2 Revo SX paired up with st Croix rage rods.  you might still be able to get one in their bargain room.  if not I'd look at the new Mojo Bass series

$100-$200 is a pretty big price range. I would look into the Kistler rods, I think they have a few in this price range. I also agree with looking at the Rage rods. They are on sale for $89 last time I looked in the bargain room on their website

I love my 6'6" MF G. Loomis E6X. Super light and sensitive. Think they go for $180.

Ended up going to Dick's and getting a 6'6" Rage for 74$!! Then added the $12 2yr warranty from Dick's... The $12 was then removed from because St Croix covered the Dick's warranty cost! Feel like I walked away with a steal.
