New Jig Pitchin Stick

Featured Replies

Just finished up my new jig rod. I'm working on building a rod for throwing some bass jigs that I make and this is the first prototype. Mhx 873 blank. I like how it feels. Can't wait to get out fishing with it so I can plan and build version 2

I used one of the Fuji sets off get bit and I agree the first one is a little to big. I figured since I would be mostly pitching to cover with it i could get by with it for now. The next one will definitely be different guides.

looks great to me, really like the shape of that handle!

Did u paint the blank or can you now get colored mud blanks now. I know they offer the white.

The standard MHX are available in several colors for the last couple months.  I have used any colored ones but the white finish is good.

correct this is one of the red blanks that MHx offers now it's pretty cool. Color little dark but I think a bright red rod would look a little crazy lol

Thank you. I started turning them to fit my hand better. I built a spinnerbait rod and did the same thing I just wasn't proud enough of the final product to post it lol

Looks good!
