Hook Size On Z-Man Shrooms Jigheads

Featured Replies

Not sure if they are size 1 or 1/0.  I'm looking for similar shroom jigheads but with a stronger hook with or without weedguard.

BPS has a new shroom style jighead but the BPS here in SoCal do not carry it...Went to the classic sale and I couldn't find them and the sales guy tells me, you will have to order it online and pick up here in store.  It seems the BPS stores in the Midwest have better selections of everything, we here in SoCal get Jacked!

I pour my own with a #1 hook. I've landed catfish over 10 pounds with them and pulled up logs and limbs so I'm pretty confident they'll handle any bass I hook on them.

The Z-Man ShroomZ hook size is a #2 for the Ned rig .

Bluebasser86 & a few of the other KS Ned rig experts pour some awesome jigs - for something close I use mushroom jigs from Gopher in a #2 or #4 hook size , as well as,  a couple of styles I found on E-Bay ... Your best bet though is just pick up and move to the Ozarks :)

Aberdeen hooks like the shroomz head work fine, I make my own using an Aberdeen style hook and I've landed many a 5lb smallmouth on them. The problem is most guys want to fish a rig designed to be used with 4lb and 6lb line with 30lb braid and you need a flipping style hook for that. I can make a heavy hook model but it won't be a mushroom head, it will be a round head.

Been meaning to ask you- would you possibly like to make me some?

I'd rather my money go to you than to corporate.
