I bought a 2000 Triton TR20 last October I have been pulling it with my step dads truck till I get a hitch and stuff put on my H3 now that I got everything ready to go on im kinda starting to get worried that maybe my H3 wont be able to tow it. It will not be going on long trips a couple hours max mostly less then 2 hours I was wonder what you guys think about if I will be ok....the hitch I bought is rated for class III to IV. thanks for any info and information The towing pounds rated for my H3 is 4500

I don't think it'll be ideal. You might be up in that 3/4 of your max towing weight. If you're extra careful It can be done. 

the dry weight of the boat is only 1440, idk about the trailer but doesn't that leave plenty of room

Your actual weight is going to be a fair amount more than that claimed dry weight.  You have to figure fuel, batteries, trailer, outboard, etc.  Not saying it won't do it just be careful as WIGuide said.

Instead of guessing take the trailer and go to a weigh station at a  farmers co- op and see what the actual weight of the trailer is.
