Saw my first bed bass today. This warm weather put them a little ahead this year as it seems. Early for northern NC to me.

I expected to see some here this week, but no such luck.  Bunch of little bucks up shallow, but not much going on.  Didn't even appear to be fanning beds yet.  We're still about a month away from historical prime time in my area - curious how it works this year.

last sunday i saw some little males around the banks getting their spots ready!  a bunch were caught on beds yesterday on the FLW at Hartwell so i wouldn't be surprised to see them your way either.

I saw them on beds here in Georgia (700' in elevation). Gonna be fishing a lake farther north next weekend (about 1,300'). What elevation are you in NC? I guess it is safe to assume they will be on beds next weekend. :/ Was expecting prespawn...
