with the weather here in the north east lately things have finally opened up so i went out to throw a jerkbait and build some confidence in it. so i'm throwing a Lucky Craft slender pointer mr 112 to a spot that is roughly 5'-6' deep from the bank. slowly twitching waiting about 10-15 seconds between twitches and i sped it up a little and immediately got hit i know it was a pike by the way it hit but i'm still stoked to get my first jerkbait fish, he got all 3 hooks and was about 3 lbs. the rest of the time was spent throwing the same bait to similar areas, no luck but still a good night 

Nice smallie on the jerkbait.  Once you gain confidence in a jerkbait, it's such a fun way to fish you won't want to put it down again!

i already dont want to i'm going to leave one tied on most of the time i think

my LEAST favorite/confident technique is the jerkbait!  good on you for sticking to it and getting rewarded!

they are actually a lot of fun to fish just wish i didn't lose my slender pointer on friday night

Nothing wrong with them hooks !!!

VERY STICKY and hold well, never had a fish throw one, Watch, now that I said it I will probably lose a giant this trip.
