Hello everyone!

    I am looking into getting Co-Polymer line for both my spinning rod and my jig rod. I have no previous experience using Co-polymer line and have no idea what are some of the better choices. I plan on using light lures and baits on my spinning set up for clear water smallmouths.

             Any feedback would be appreciated!           Thanks!

I'll answer your question but also do a search on Copolymer lines. This question has come up alot lately.

Oh my mistake! I forgot to check the forums beforehand! But thank you for your suggestion

FF gave you 3 good suggestions.  Personally I'd use 6# (8# max) on the spinning reel.  Do you need abrasion resistance for the jig rod?  That would play a big roll in my decision on line for that rod.  If yes, then my 1st choice would be 15# in P-Line CXX or Izorline Platinum.  If not, I prefer 12# in a line a bit more manageable such as the 3 FF mentioned.  I am currently using AN40, but have some Izorline XXX that is going on one of my new reels.

Spinning:  #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid

Baitcasting:  #12 Yo-Zuri Hybrid

 

i like yozuri and mccoys, want to try the izorline sometime soon.  spinning 6# and casting 12# will get the job done.
