I've heard of a lot of you guys using cork sealant like U-40 on your cork handles. I e never heard of that until I started surfing through the forums. Haven't seen any yet about how it works or a how-to. Can anybody help me understand what it does exactly and how ot effects the feel of the cork? I would love to have my cork last longer but I don't want the feel of my high-grade cork to go away.

you will not lose any feel, but rather preserve your high grade cork for years to come

How well does the sealer protect against pitting? I've never really considered sealing my rods before, but I just bought an orochi xx and the cork is absolutely terrible. Honestly megabass should be ashamed of themselves. I don't care about protecting from dirt. My only concern is preventing the insane amount of filler from falling out.

It helps keep any filler intact better than witho0ut using anything at all.

Been using U-40 for over a dozen years or more now. Some cork comes with filler and I've applied it with those as well. Never had a problem. Just checked.....applied to over 30 rods! :)

This is actually my favorite part  - I HATE HATE HATE filling cork! It's such a tedious, messy job.
