Sunline FC Sniper

Featured Replies

I know some guys change there lines often. I dont. I change my every season which i still think is too soon as it sits in the shade cool area. I only use flurocarbon and braided line now. I bought a spool of this stuff when I was in AL fishing for crappie. First time I used it everything went fine. Second time I used it every cast i made my lures went flying. THen I would have to push my line through the rods again re ty and cast same thing. Ive only used this line once but didnt have this issues. I checked my rod all guides are in great shape.

I've never had any problems with mine, j have some 10,16, and 20 pound test that has been good to me.

If your line is breaking at the reel or somewhere along the rod guide train something is damaging the line. What # test Sniper are you having this problem with?

To test line simply wraps the line around your hands and snap your hands apart, if it breakers easily the line is weak.

Look for flat spots or line twist that indicate damaged line. Use a cotton Q Tip and check each guide for cracks, the cotton tends to snag cracks.

i was going to say if it's breaking near the reel, i don't think it's the rod.  check your line guide really well.  the Q tip method Tom mentions will tell you if you have a problem.

i've been using the sniper for a while and it's great line, completely changed my negative opinions on fluoro.

Sniper, Shooter, Reaction and Seagaur Tatsu is all I use in fluro. Absolutely excellent line, never had a problem with either one. IMO there is nothing better.
