  1. It's a 99 225 merc efi, I would love be to find a schematic of it then I would be able to find the problem fairly easily. It's not through a relay, I busted a fuse and put the stabs in so I could ohm it and I'm getting short all the time with no power applied. As for the pic of the fuse it's on the top right hand side of the box with the warning label on it, you can see the stabs of the fuse sticking out of it.
  2. I was on the lake today and went to start the boat it started and quit(cold nature), then when I went to start it again nothing had any power. After a hour of trouble shooting I figured out that the fuse was blown and when I put a new fuse in you can work the trim fine, but as soon as you cut the switch on it blows the fuse. It has a straight ground on the the load side of the fuse when the switch is turned on. Anyone ever experienced this before? Fuse location shown in pic
  3. I'm just wanting to change up the scenery, and I feel Daiwa is very similar to shimano in quality(plus the whole jdm aspect). I've already owned Abu, quantum, and lews(none of which tickled my fancy) so now it's time to try diawa
  4. Sweet thanks a lot, they make way to many models of daiwa reels. It's so confusing looking through the 11 pages of casting reels on jls lol. I see a ss sv103 and a regular sv103 on eBay, what's the difference? I'm having a hard time finding out what reel does what since their are so many reels....
  5. Where's the best place to buy sv103s on the cheap?
  6. Every reel I own is shimano, always been a shimano fan. But I've always wanted to try out a diawa, and here's my chance because my glx fpr 7'11" needs a new reel on it. Which reel would you guys suggest for a good flipping and short casting reel with some good drag and a high gear ratio? I was looking at the '15 zillion and it looks neat, but i dont know much about the t-wing stuff.
  7. Well here's my first nrx combo, I'm beyond excited. It is ridiculously light for a 7'5 jigging combo. The 893 is gonna balance pretty good with the met when it gets line on it as well.
  8. Has anyone ever fished one? I got one as my gift from Japan lure shop, and it is a extremely impressive looking little bait. I can't wait to get it out and try it
  9. I thought the only monofilament still made was maxima ultragreen?
  10. Do some searching on this forum forum for answers to a lot of those questions, but I prefer a parabolic rod for all those applications except a buzzbait. I like throwing the walking baits and bigger treble hook topwaters on my megabass emtf which is a lot like a 7'5" MH MF rod, I like the longer rod to maximize distance but I'm also 6'6" so it doesn't hinder me on walking the baits which is something else to consider. You can always tie your buzzbait on your jig rod, I like the backbone on my buzzbaits but you have to be patient on hooksets or your buzzbait will go screaming right by your head lol
  11. For dropshots your most important thing you need to research is drag, i don't worry about ratio on dropshots rigs because my line is always tight. The drag on all my shimano spinners is smooth as butter, granted the highest I owned was a revo s in the Abu market. But I also thought my Symtre blew the revo sof the water in terms of smoothness and drag for a fair comparison.
  12. I bought a curado 70, then I bought a new alde. Now I don't have a 70 anymore
  13. I have one and I absolutely love it, I use it for dropshotting and light shakey head rigs
  14. It looks very close to there sexy blueback herring color that I love for red eyes
  15. The good ole 3/16 spot remover with a fat roboworm is all I keep, I've went to using slider heads for any smaller applications
  16. I have my aldebaran on a mb rattle viper for small rigs and jerkbaits and I'm in love with it, this is my first nrx so I will deffinatly have more in the future.
  17. If you are looking for distance I'd go with power pro super slick in #10 with a leader , I can throw a 3/16 jerkbait a country mile with my spinning gear. Plus 0 memory, it spoils up like a dream every time
  18. Which Stradic are you taking about?
  19. Yes exactly what wrb said, anything smaller than a 200 size reel I always go high gear to pick up the slack line.
  20. I went with the 893, gonna be a light jig setup. Can't wait to test it out this weekend, I love the feel of the mgl and it is unbelievably light compared to my curado i's.
  21. Imo I'm not a fan of the e6x series, it fishes more like a $100 rod. I think you are paying the extra $90 the the name on it.(and I'm a big loomis fan don't get me wrong). If i had to chose one that you posted I would go with the Phoenix rod, but I feel as if the dobyns is a better bang for your buck deal.
  22. Personally if I was you I'd hunt down two $75 rods because those are totally different applications in my mind. (Like possibly the 6'10 and 7'5" Powell dieselcranking rods on sale for $69 on tackle warehouse)
  23. If it's anything like megabass regular taper it's a mod\fast
  24. The way I do it the first time for a reel is(you only have to do this once) i reel 75yards of braid on my spool then I tie my mono back to it to and fill my spool completely full to my liking. Then I reel the line onto a spinning reel I have rigged up, then to another spinning reel, then back on the reel I want and the backing will be on the bottom and you will have the perfect amount of backing on for the amount of braid you want(since you already filled the spool to your liking initially). Then from then on out all you have to do is pull your old braid off and put 75yd of new braid on and it is perfect again
