  1. I saw that cylinder weight part and that's what I like, I don't like putting split shots on my line. I was gonna buy some from field and stream today but they only had bullet and big barrel weights for some reason
  2. They have a few models still in stock on tackle warehouse that are on clearance for $230. I almost bought one bet went with another megabass Rod instead.
  3. What models are the baits? I have quite a few small flat sided crankbaits that I do good on.
  4. Thanks went to field and stream to get some sunline for it, and ended up spending $150 on new stuff for this set up.?
  5. I've always preferred kut tails for neko and wacky over trick worms. They just seemed to do better for me
  6. Destroyer x4 rattle viper and a '15 aldebaran new finesse setup
  7. Reel made it in and man is this thing light!!! It has a little bit of a whiny sound at the gears, anyone know what that is? I'm assuming I just needs to be broke down and cleaned really good like all my other shimanos
  8. Fished a little with the Rod today, it fishes amazingly. Threw a 1/8oz jig head with a keitech 3.8 fat on it, and it would cast a mile. I Can't wait to try it will the alde gets here. The action of the Rod is kinda like a medium light extra fast type deal, it has a super soft back bone but plenty of power in the mid section. It drove the light wire jig hook every time at the end of a long cast.
  9. These? http://www.sliderfishing.com/Spider-Classic-Pro-Head-SPCH-U-18-per-pack-SPCH-U-18-per-pack.htm and I've never fished a mojo rig but I guarantee the next time the boats in the water I'm going to, looks like a very efficient finesse system and i dont know why I haven't tried it, surprising there aren't many videos on slider heads so I'm guess I'm going to have to experiment on how to fish those.
  10. Never used a swivel on one before, but I neko rig kut tail worms a lot. What slider lead heads should I buy? Over never used any before and i dont know which ones to order, it's gonna be a completely new experience for me
  11. I need to buy me some more 68s, I only have 2. And I bought a couple pop x's last night to give a try. Hopefully my reel will be here early next week so I can give this a go.
  12. Rod made it in today, definately amazing feeling And I put my curado 70 on it for some testing and I think it's gonna be perfect.
  13. Yep regular slow sink models are the best big bait to start with, just a slow retrieve will catch you fish. Best swimbait to get started with
  14. Well for $344 hopefully it will be a good deal, and I didn't have the patience to wait on a build right now.
  15. I may also try so small slider heads with like tiny flukes or shad shaped worms
  16. I can't catch a cold with my 168 or 200 s-wavers, I must be doing something wrong. But a triple trout is a must, i catch fish on my triple trouts 10:1 over my other swimbaits
  17. This is one of my favorite methods of all time the kut tails are amazing, and I have dedicated drop shot and weightless senko rods. I have never fished a Ned rig, I'm gonna have to hunt the lead heads on some lil senkos out for that and try it. I'm also thinking I could throw flukes on it as well, but it may not have a good enough backbone for the hookset on those.
  18. I am waiting on my 15 alde and x4 rattle viper to come in the mail and I'm wondering about some cool new rigs from like 1/8-3/8 total weight to try out on it, I'm new to the finesse baitcasting stuff but I've always wanted to try it. So far in thinking neko rigs, small hair jigs, fat ikas and some shaky head stuff.
  19. What do you like to fish? Match what you fish with your Rod selections
  20. Well in a moment of weakness I decided to get a megabass x4 rattle viper, hopefully it makes a sweet combo
  21. Now I see that megabass rattle viper on tackle trap and it's got me looking hard, but i dont know if that Rod would be anything like what I need or not.
  22. My vote is to just buy my rods for different techniques, you never can have to many reels
  23. That is correct, will the new ones be for sale soon? And the 7'2" older models are still On tackle warehouse
