How many of you guys fish Micro Jigs and what trailers do you use?

How often do you fish them and what jigs do you use? Tuff to find a good brand stateside these days. Find I'm having to tie my own. 

I use them fairly often and I'm in the same boat, I tie my own. 

I tried molix nano jigs, and i tip the end with a tiny trout worm. I mainly use it for trout and crappie fishing, but have caught some bass as well. my "weakest" rod is a ML, and even with that its hard to cast that thing and I only use it when nothing else works.

Renosky used to (and maybe still does), make a tiny jig that came with about a 1.5" long craw trailer. I used to buy them from Wal Mart when I was a kid and caught so many bass with them. It was one of my go to lures for a long time but I haven't seen one in forever.

What weight you throwing? I primarily use 1/8 ounce with a 3.2" trailer that weighs about 5 grams. I usually just pitch or underhand cast them so really only trying to throw them 40 to 50ft. I use a ML casting rod and seem to do all right. I love them for bass, specially fishing the edges of mats.

I have the smallest and 2nd smallest one. 1/20 and 3/32. I think im getting 25 ft max, and thats kinda stretching it. I trim the skirt and only add 1" of worm on it so its very very light.

Straight up Japanese style there. Definitely need a light action spinning rod for that.

ya, i never intended it to be a bass jig so i picked the smallest possible. I was surprised that the hook was not as weak as i thought it was, especially for a jig that size.

I really enjoy using smaller hook jigs. Fished on the right rod with the right line you never need to worry about straightening the hooks. And I don't use a weed guard. Use a 1/8 gammy round 25 with a 1/0. Tried the Keitech Mono guard too. But I miss the fina jigs I used in Asia. 

The ball jigs are molded from a lead free alloy and weigh about 3/32 oz. They worked well on cold water smallies last year as is - no trailer.

The white jig at the bottom is also bismuth/tin alloy and was cast in the 3/16 oz. cavity of Do-it's tube jig mold. The trailer is Z-Man's Elaztech Split Tail Trailerz. The smallies liked this offering too.

I throw the 3/32 oz. jigs on a 7' ML rod and, using the 6 lb. Tatsu, get surprisingly good distance. Sunline Sniper is also good and less expensive.

Re trailer or no, in cold water or during a tough bite, try your little jigs first without a trailer and if you get no takers, try shortening a larger plastic bait and attach say, 2"of that.

I make micro jigs from 1/32oz up to 3/16oz and for the larger ones which use a 1/0 hook I like the Conquistador finesse pro craw as a trailer. For the smaller baits in the 1/8oz and under I like using a Venom lures Ron Yurko finesse chunk. I'm guessing you saw Ike's video on those, I didn't know there was one until I got a bunch of phone calls and emails of guys wanting micro jigs. So now that that is out there, there is another trailer that works really good but expensive because it is a Japanese deal, the Norie's Bite Guts, killer on my 1/16oz silicone and rubber jigs but again, very expensive.

When water is below 52 a 1/16oz hair jig is my go to - fished float n fly style - for me it catches bigger average than any other winter bait.

I use silicon skirted micro jigs all year for bass. It's my Senko b

Has anyone tried Damiki TG Tungsten Micro Jigs? They look pretty similar to the Keitech Tungsten Mono Spin Jig.

I have used them before. Had a few where the hooks just snapped off or the heads broke.

Really? I've always liked their soft plastics, and I've been considering ordering the micro jigs. Maybe I'll try the Keitech version instead.

Good plastics just had bad luck with their jigs. The mamba too

What about pepper custom jigs they make a good micro jig cut a rage menace in half and use it for a trailer.

Never tried those. Maybe I should try a few. 

Smaller size SK bitsy bugs.  Crappie grub trailer (if you want).

Don't overlook the road runner. I was catching em on 1/8 oz heads and small plastics yesterday.
