Watch your knots. Alot of my breakoffs have been at the knot. I will tie a Palomar about 75% of the time, I always make sure I lube the knot and make sure there are no twists, but still had alot of breaks on this line. I mostly used either 10 or 12# test.

mccoy , sufix promix , yo-zuri, a lot of guys like braid , as did i for a while , but wind knots and snapping from shock drove me away

spinning casting don't matter,,, all have Sufix 832 as mainline,,,, I choose my leader fer line preference,,, 6'- 12', depending on what I am doing and where I am fishing.. 

I absolutely love Sufix Siege in 6#. If I could only have one type of line for spinning, this would be it!

6 or 8 lb Maxima ultragreen fishing line for throwing 1/32- 1/8 oz weights. I love the abrasion resistance of it and the casting is phenomenal. Right now it's on my Daiwa Steez 2508 ( close to a Shimano 2500) and no regrets on leaving it there. For braid I use 8 or 10 lb Berkley Fireline in smoke and that's on a Daiwa Exist, also a great line

I'm a faithful p-line user, used to spool mine with CX premium, but now I spool my bass spinning reels with 6lb cxx strong line and easy on the pocket as well.

I like braid will all of my spinning reels.  I do have one spooled with 8lb Nanofill and one thing I have noticed is that I get a lot of wind drag with the Nanofil that keeps me from getting good distance on casts compared to other reels where I have straight 2 or 4 lb mono (and I'm sure fluoro would have the same characteristics as the mono).  I also get some wind drag with the basic PowerPro or Sufix 832 I prefer, but definitely notice more wind drag with PowerPro Slick 8.  Seems like the "softer" the line, the more wind drag you'll get that will cut into your casting distance.
