Featured Replies

Does anyone have experience with the this line? It looks like it gets good reviews and its cheap but I wanted to hear more about it.

not the cx, but i used the cxx for swimbaits back in the day (20lb) and it is very strong line, good for what i used it for.  but it did have some memory to it, that's for sure.

CX is a great copoly.  It is strong but doesn't have a ton of memory.  It's my favorite non fluoro line.

Never tried cx but I use cxx in 10/12 and it's been good so far. It's thicker than other brands so it's more like 12/14 really.

I have my newest casting reel spooled with 12lb CX. I haven't had any problems with it. However, keep in mind that it's a fluorocarbon coated line, not a true co-poly such as McCoy or YZH.

Haven't used the CX but I use copoly on all my set ups and P-Line CXX is my choice. Never had any issues, use line conditioner every time before trips and memory is not an issue. Its cheap and strong as all get out. I have had it break once after about 24 fish being caught and my dog getting wrapped all up in the line as the rod sat on the deck. Didn't retie or check my line and was fishing rip rap. My mistake. Great line though

I have used cx for years. It is much more manageable than cxx but is also thinner. The good news is it's breaking strength is still higher than rated.

I thought CX was OK. Better than cxx which is somewhat difficult to manage. I still prefer florclear though. Handles much better and seems less visible to me.

Ive used cx a lot.  Pretty sensitive and low stretch with good abrasion resistance.  Ive had no managability issues.  You can drop a line size as their pound test is overrated.
