Help with rod dryer?

Featured Replies

Just getting started and wanted to know what the best rpm would be for drying.

Thanks for any other input also. :)

The rod dryer I use is a 9 rpm dryer.

In my drying box I have a pair of Flex Coat 6RPM motors.

For drying only the slower rpm's as suggested are fine, but for applying finish, a much faster speed will make it much easier to get good, even, edges.  There may be a speed somewhere in the middle that does both well, not sure.

I use a Flexcoat 6 RPM drying motor. I have watched people apply on hi-speed turners and it does seem to help. But for now I apply by hand turning and use tape and then burnish it where it doesn't run back under.
