Reel Maintenance/Cleaning

Featured Replies

Im new to the forums so i apologize in advance if this question is not in the appropriate section of the site. I just wanted to know if anybody could recommend the easiest and most efficient place to send a reel for maintenance and a cleaning. I know many people are going to recommend i learn how to do this myself because it will save me time and money, however at this point i would just like to send the reels to a professional to get the job done right. Also one of the two reels im looking to send in makes a winding sound when it is reeled in. My best guess is that this can be attributed to the bearing in the reel needing to be replaced or cleaned. Any recommendations would be highly welcomed. I'v been considering bass pro and even contacting the makers of the reels to see if they perform these services for they're customers, but i figured id check in the with the knowledgeable folks on Bass Resource before i do anything. Thank for your time and great luck this fishing season!

We have a sponsor by the name of Delaware Valley Tackle that would take care of any reel maintenance as well as upgrades, custom rods, and other services for a reasonable price.

Over there on the right, http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/

Mike is a friend of mine, and a site sponsor.  I do my own work, but would trust him to take care of my stuff if I didn't.
