anyone own or have owned this reel?. a local shop had a box of reels that were new but without boxes and marked them down significantly so i snagged it. never used a round reel before. was curious as to what techniques anyone has used it for and if theres any upgrades i should look at doing.    may end up selling it but i couldnt resist buying it for the price it was.  certainly feels solid

Well you already bought it so spool it up and give it a few hours of testing! 

It´s very simple, the CV-Z is a magnificent reel, so great that Yuki Ito from Megabass took it to create their version and Ize used it to create the Ize Light. It´s the equivalent to a Shimano Calcutta.

Will definitely hang onto it then
