Fixing muskrat damage

Featured Replies

Muskrats have eaten away at the banks of my pond. Could I use concrete to fill in the collapsed holes? Anyone else have this problem?

Muskrats can really do some damage on a pond bank. Filling the holes will do nothing unless you remove the problem (muskrats).

a .22 rifle is the solution.

They are furbearers in some states, so this is possibly illegal or there may at least be season. If it's legal and you go this route, be careful not to shoot them until they're on the bank where the round can't skip like it will on the water.
