Not bass, but...

Featured Replies

Had a good trip out yesterday. After a long period of nothing moderately exciting to report, I feel like I've paid my dues. Went to a canal with a couple of friends and caught a cracking good zander and a nice black one too. Doesn't look like I'll get a bass trip in this year, so I need some more days like this to distract me. :)

If I'm not mistaken, I think Zander get even bigger than walleye! Still in the perch family of course.

Very similar to walleye. The UK record is around 20lb, but on continental Europe I expect it's closer to 40lb! Not widely distributed in the UK.

Those are awesome fish, hope they are as fun to catch as walleye.

Wow!!  Great fish!

Whatever camera you used to take those pictures must be pretty good, that wasn't a phone camera was it?

Nice fish BTW!

It was a phone I'm ashamed to say. I did a bit of photoshop fiddling afterwards though to disguise the background a bit. Can never be too careful. ;)

No that's awesome if that's a phone, it took some good pictures! What phone was it?

Some Samsung thing. Not really into phones, so no idea what model it is.
