I just bought a Mercury 90hp 2 stroke. Which oil do you guys prefer, Mercury Quicksilver or Citgo?

Back in the mid and late 90's I had a 75hp Merc, and all I used was Pennzoil 2-stroke oil and never had a problem...   not saying that its the best, but it worked for me...

What year is your motor?

I just recently purchased the boat. They are both a 1999 model. The boat and motor are in imaculate condition and I want to use the best products.

I really like the middle grade Rude oil I think the number on it is 50 for my 175 merc.

I have a 80Hp merc on my bay boat and I use  pennzoil made special for 2 stroke marine engines and have never had any problems. The fire company that I work for has a small resue boat with a 25 hp merc and they use the quick silver with no problems. so Either way you should be o.k.
