  1. Sunday I was fishing and I stumbled and took a pretty good fall. Luckily I fell in the boat. It got me to thinking, if I had fallen out of the boat how would I have gotten back in? ??? I know some of the new boats have a built in ladder. Do any of you have any kind of ladder you may have mounted on your bass boat?
  2. Most boats have a recirculation system that only puts fresh lake water into the live well. I am wondering if anyone has added an oxygen injection system to the live wells to help put more oxygen into the livewell.
  3. Do any of you have actual aeration systems connected to their live well tanks along with the fresh water pumping in.
  4. I have a Minn Kota trolling motor, 54 lb. thrust, on my Ranger R61. The trolling motor has a 2 blade prop. My question is "would there be any advantage to going to a three blade prop?"
  5. I really enjoy a good cigar while fishing. I think the bass like "Lucky Strikes"
  6. Boo, I, like Muddpuppy, have a 16' Ranger R61. I love this boat. It is a little short but has plenty of room for me and another. I fish alone a lot and it is easy to handle by myself, it trailers good, and I can tow it with my Ford150 5.4 V8 or my Jeep Wrangler for that short trip to local lakes.
  7. I got his book at the book store Friday evening. I finished the book last night. I do have a new respect for the man. He has worked hard and works hard for each tournament. I'm sure the other anglers do to. I enjoyed the book very much. I still think Mike or "Ike" could tone it down a bit.
  8. Yep. There are some folks that just don't understand. I watched a fellow and his family a few weeks ago take 20 minutes on the ramp to tie thier boat down on the trailer and take stuff out of the boat and put in their truck!
  9. I have a 16 ft Ranger. I got the Ranger cover and it is great. It covers the motor as well. Very easy to take off and put on.
  10. When you are using your trolling motor, do you trim your motor up out of the water or leave it down.
  11. Okay, call me old fashioned or what. I've been married 19 years. I have never had a problem doing anything. Fishing, golf, whatever. BUT, I make time for her needs. Be it a movie, shopping, etc. Your girlfriend has needs and wants just like you. Gosh, that was pretty Dr. Phil stuff huh? hahahaha Really BOTH of you have to give and take.
  12. Yesterday I was taking my boat out of the water and forgot to raise the motor It scrapped the lower part pretty good. Can I file it down and be okay? Nothing was cracked. I hope I learned and never do that again. And yes I am a newbie and this is only the second time to have my boat in the water.
  13. I just recently purchased the boat. They are both a 1999 model. The boat and motor are in imaculate condition and I want to use the best products.
  14. I was wondering because I did not get my boat all the way up to the stop by about 6 inches the first few times I loaded alone and I was afraid to winch it to much. It was on the trailer good just not all the way up to the stop.
  15. I have a little Ranger R61. 90 hp with SS prop. 24V Minnkota 54lb. trolling motor. Lowrance and Hummingbird fish finders. Small boat but loads of fun!!!
