2 Stroke Synthetic Oils

Featured Replies

Greetings all,

I am new to this post and I had a question on OEM brand specific or other brands for 2 stroke synthetic oils.  I have a 150 EFI Mercury and was wondering if I should buy a specfic oil for my motor or just go with Quicksilver synthetic at Wal-Mart for $27 a gallon?

I been using quicksilver for as long as I've had a boat. Along with everyone else I know. Never had a problem as long as you mix it right

Quicksilver is the same stuff. Only Mercury dealers can sell the Mercury brand.

This. They are the same oil only packaged differently

Why synthetic oil over the standard oil?
