Gambler bb cricket and craw baits

Featured Replies

This is the first craw type bait I've picked up in years and it's been killer.

I've been fishing it on a 1/0 Ewg with an unpegged 1/8 and up weight. Dragged and hopped along the bottom. Durable, consistent and it just catches fish.

What other craw baits this size does everyone t-rig? Im looking to try the rage craws sometime.

Also, does anyone use smaller profile 3-4" craws for a more finesse approach?

My go to Craw baits

Baby Paca 3-3/4"

Regular Paca 5"

Strike King Rage Tail Craw 4"

Pit Boss if you consider it as a craw style some consider it a creature style.

I use all them in various situations and rigged from a strait T- Rigged style to using as a trailer for jigs, spinnerbaits, punching etc.

The Crock-o-Gator Ring Craw on an 1/8oz Slider Pro head has been doing really well for me on a very tough local lake.

That little gambler cricket is my go to punching bait. Noone believes me that I punch with it. Most of the guys around here punch d bombs with punch skirts and other bigger profiles. More often than not they want the little cricket.
