Gliss Vs. Spiderwire Stealth

I have not used Gliss on casting gear and have no intentions to. I love it on my spinning rods I have it on, but I don't see it having any advantages on casting gear. It seems like it wouldn't be a good option for similar situations you'd use regular braid.

Exactly. Gliss is VERY thin and has a slick texture. I can see that it'd probably quickly dig in. I've only used it on spinning gear.

^^This^^ !! I went gonzo with Gliss in #8 lb. on an ultra lght and could have done just as well with #12 lb. Gliss (or greater) ...Very thin and very slick indeed !! For a baitcaster staying with #30 lb. ( or greater) is the better option than Gliss which I only suggest for spinning reels.

I have gliss on a casting reel and love it.  Great casting and haven't had any issues with it digging it

so don't buy glass for baitcasters?

I wouldn't. Not so much the digging in that I'd be worried about, but the durability. I have 24lb on a couple spinning combos (thinner than 5lb mono), and it's great for long distance casting and open water techniques. It frays very easily if it gets around cover though, which is pretty much the only reason I'd want braid on a casting rod. I don't think they have different formulas for casting and spinning but I could be wrong.

I've seen the fraying Clayton is talking about, I just don't see it often since I don't typically find myself fishing around sharp/jagged cover, usually just grass. For my river smallie setup I use 20lb Sufix 832
