Are soft jerk baits good as a Multi-Species Lure?

Featured Replies

I recently fished a fluke around down in the Potomac as a noisy topwater, and hooked a snakehead, a pickerel, and a bowfin, along with some bass. The action of a fluke really seems to get some other species; I even caught some bullhead catfishes on them in the past. Do you guys have good experiences with them as multi species lures in the past? Thanks.

any bait that mimics a dying baitfish will work with multiple species.  On a fluke i have caught largemouth, smallmouth, sunnies, crappies, pickerel, bowfin, catfish and small stripers.

Zoom Super Flukes are great multi species lures down here. Here is a short list of the types of fish I have caught on this type of lure;

 Freshwater species;Largemouth bass, Peacock bass, Mayan chichild , Oscar, Midas chichild, Jaguar Guapote ,  Longnose gar, Florida gar , Chain pickerel, Bluegill , Warmouth , Spotted sunfish , Bowfin ,etc.

Saltwater species; Tarpon , Snook , Jack Crevalle , Ladyfish , Mangrove Snapper ,etc.

Another great multi species lure is the rapala x rap.
