Hey all, just picked up some 3" sick fish but I'm not sure what size hook to use. What size and weight for swimbait hooks?

It's not really a bait you can fish on a swimbait hook. I prefer to put them on a 1/8oz jighead or a light scrounger head.

Why is it not for swimbait? The maker of this bait recommends swimbait hooks at least for the bigger ones. Is it because it's a 3"?

Yeah I just decided to buy some 4" ones and used a size 5 swim hook. Looks pretty good although it seems like a size smaller hook may have been better. 

There's alot of plastic so in order to use a swimbait hook I recommend cutting a slit in the bottom so the hook can push through easier. Still makes hookups a little hard. 

Never thought to use a scrounger. I've never used them. Have to try that
