They put cypress trees in our home lake but they planted most of them on the bank ,anyone have an ideal why ? 

Just a guess but if they wanted trees next to the lake and the water level fluctuates cypress trees are a good decision since they will survive being partly submerged in water. Where as others would die

there are likely some cypress knees in the water. Good place throw a bait.

Boy cypress trees are great as they grow you will have a nice large knee to fish around.  A jib and a cypress tree just go together. Flip that puppy!

Easier to dig a hole in the ground than in the mud.

Theses are on the bank , i knew about the knees , its just watching those fishing shows & you see all these beautiful trees in the water & ours is on the bank mostly its just one here & there , i just think what a waste but like you said we have the knees .
