Help with trailer problem?

Featured Replies

First time posting a message.

I am new to boating. I got a 14.5 foot Sea Ark. I bought it used. After my third trip out when I was backing it up into the drive I bent the front of the trailer.

If it can be fixed then how would I go about it?

Thanks for any help.

I may not be the best to answer this question, but I used to tow a boat a lot!  When we bent 'tongues' we would take them to a metal or welding shop and those guys would make it work again.

GOOD LUCK

If you only bent the coupler, you can get a new one at West Marine, or a similar marine supplier; the coupler should be bolted on to the trailer tongue. Unbolt it and take it with you to get the correct sized replacement. Shouldn't be more than 30-40 bucks.
