If you are from that area, Its perfect for those types of water. 900.00 sounds fair for motor, boat and trailer. I didn't remember the age of the motor. If you were to piece them together, How much for a boat. You can usually find a fishable boat cheap. A motor? and a Trailer? Together $900.00 sounds good.

So does the one above with some electronics and accessories.

I see the ad gives the price and then says OBO. I'd call him and say I'll give you $650 cash right now and see how he responds. If nothing else you should discover what his true rock bottom price is. Who knows, maybe he'll say done deal depending on his circumstances for selling it. I didn't realize alumacraft had been around that long. Looks like a neat rig.

alumacraft has been around since the late 40's. That's more than a fair price for that rig, assuming the motor has compression, and it probably wouldn't be overpriced for just the boat and trailer, if they're both sound. Call, ask him for his rock bottom best price, and if you want the boat, buy it, even if he doesn't come down. In California, you're going to get your money's worth in a years time, and at that price, you've got an excellent chance at getting most or all of it back when you're ready to upgrade.

If you're prepared to buy at the asking price, a real lowball offer can insult the seller, and end any chance you have of getting the boat, even at his asking price. I've been there, done that, on both sides of the transaction. Good luck.

I agree with madhouse but I would start at $500 and explain that you don't mean to insult the buyer and for the age, the stuff looks good but it's still almost 40yrs old.  I would go as high as $700.
