Flush mount electronics removal

Question for those that have their electronics flush mounted AND live in a cold weather winter climate: do you remove them during the off-season?  I have a Lowrance HDS flush mounted into my console and it appears that it might take some pretty serious work to remove it for the winter.  I'm not worried about theft, but I am worried about damaging the LCD screen if its bitterly cold for an extended period of time.  What are the screens rated for at storage temperature?  It will be stored in an insulated garage (not heated) with the cover on it so its not like its going to be sitting outside all winter.

Thanks

From the Lowrance website -  5°F to 130°F  (-15°C to 55°C) are the operating temp tolerances.

It isn't all that much work. Pop the bezel off and remove the 4 screws, then disconnect the plugs on the back and off it comes. I would probably take it off just to be on the safe side.

Ok I'll give it a try.
