Hey guys, i'm a european angler whose girlfriend is coming to the US in august. Since i'm getting a reel and some braid from TW i thought to buy some harbaits since i'm in need of those.

I'm lacking some medium and shallow cranks, spinnerbaits and jerkbaits. would u kindly tell me what u think should i buy? obviusly i'm looking for the "best for the buck stuff"

Thanks.

Rat L Trap or other lipless crankbait.

Berkley hard baits are pretty nice for the money.  I like the flicker shad a lot

Off the top of my head, strike king cranks, booyah spinnerbaits, and rapala jerkbaits are good for the money

I like Strike King cranks. They have good action and they flat-out catch fish for me. Plus they are fairly inexpensive when compared to others.

War Eagle spinnerbaits work well for me. Booyah are a little cheaper though.

If you mean hard jerkbaits, Rapala are fairly inexpensive comparatively. Their new Shadow Raps look intriguing. I haven't fished them though, so I'm not sure if they are hype or real.

In any case as far as colors, match the forage of the lake you are fishing. Or water condition if murky.

pretty much me too, 1/4 oz spinnerbaits, husky jerk by rapala, strike king kid 1.5 sexy shad, will work any place

berkley hardballs too

try walmart stores, if you live in the us theres one near you, they have cheap lures that work!

For crank baits in the lower price ranges, bomber 5a and 6 a, bandit 100 and 200, and all the Norman cranks work great for me. I really like the whole rapala dt series and spro rock crawler and little John series, but they cost a little more. The lucky crafts are excellent but I buy most of mine used or on sale because I crank a lot of cover and hate breaking off an expensive bait. Lip less I like super spots and red eye shade and booyah (were excalibur). Jerkbaits I like the bomber long a, Smithwick rogue, rapala original floater, husky jerk, and X rap, and lucky craft pointer 78sp and 100sp. There are tons of good baits out there though and what I like may be different from what you like. As for colors I keep it simple. Shad colors, bluegill colors, and craw colors are basically all I use with a few chartreuse based patterns for murky water or if I'm going after smallmouth

Don't worry about the shadow rap series just now, start with a shad rap you can fish it all year long at it will teach you basic jerk bait fishing.

Z-man Chatterbaits over spinner baits...

If you want to stretch your dollar, Seibert jigs and northland tackle reed runner spinnerbaits. Check prices online.

In the end i didn't buy anithing because TW doesn't ship to the US if my billing address is in another country....  Obviously my girlfriend doesn't have the time to look for some shops so...

Screw it :(

Don't give up!

Call their customer service and ask if they can run you through a confirmation process for your credit card.  After that you'll be able to make purchases shipped to a US address on your international card.  You only have to do this once (until you change cards).

If that's too much hassle, many other sites will work for you without any confirmation required.  In a similar situation I've ordered from:

www . bass pro . com

www . cabelas . com

www . ffo - tackle . com

www . overstock bait . com

www . fishing tackle outlet . net

www . bass tackle depot . com

...

Or I believe you can just buy a US pre-paid credit card and make online purchases that require a US billing address.

Red Eye Shads and also KVD Squarebill 1.5 and 2.5
