Hey, I found this while surfing the interent during class, just wondering what everyone thinks of it? I don't own a boat, but I am not sold on the idea of it all be electrical it seems the cord might be safer when properly used.

I can see a problem with the battery dying in the transmitter; then what happens if you don't check it enough? (Everyone knows that people don't always check everything)

I have seen the demo, and have buddies who have them installed.  C.A.S.T. wireless lanyard sys.  

A lot of selling points.  But I feel if something has worked for so many years and its not broke, why mess with it.

If you use a traditional life vest you don't need that.  I leave the lanyard hooked to my vest and when I stop to fish, the vest comes off and stays in the seat w/ lanyard still attached.
