I am going to a local tackle shop to buy one lure or one bag of plastics for around $6. I want to have fun with this so what should I get? 

FWIW I will be kayak fishing a river Sunday that has little to no current, steeper banks, max depth of around 15 feet, and  2-3 feet of depth about 6 yards off the banks before it drops. Rip/Rap and natural banks and bottom all spread out and no timber. Water is temperature HOT with about 2-3 feet of visibility. Blue bird skies  and 5-10 mph winds expected.
