Just moved to Louisiana and the Calcasieu is my closest bass fishery. It's tough fishing and size is hard to come by. I was wondering if any local sticks could push me in the right direction.

Launching from the Theriot Rd ramp in Moss Bluff and on occasion from White Oak Park. 

From reports I got this morning White Oak area is hot right now, I'll get you some details.

Cut in marshes around the Burntout Bridges

Yeah fishing is slow on the calcasieu right now, but I did land a 4 pounder there last week! Look for points and choke areas with current moving. Was fishing crankbaits mostly.

Anyone know any good places for bass fishing the calcasieu in February and any good baits?
