Anybody ever use an Abu Garcia Cardinal I am wondering if they are any good

I've got a stx and I like it but for the money the pflueger president is a better reel.

me and my dad have both have one and have no complaints, they arent your highest of quality but they do their job well.

I agree with Lakeannaangler... A cardinal will get the job done, but for the price the presidents are a better reel IMO. Another reliable reel in this price range would be the Shimano Sedona. Not as stout of a bail as the President but every bit as good otherwise.

if it were the older model cardinals i would say go for it, but the newer modeled ones that been out the last few years just look cheaper. my older model has been a great reel though. more closer to the price range of the cardinal than the pflueger president is the pflueger trions if cost is part of your consideration into what reel to purchase. i have a trion that has held up very well and would recommend it or a president...
